Michael J. Turmelle is a Curriculum Director and Assistant Principal in the Sanborn Regional School District, a New Hampshire leader in Competency-Based Learning and a Tier 1 PACE district. Prior to his seven years in the SRSD, Michael was a Principal, Assistant Principal, Department Coordinator, and Teacher at John Stark Regional High School, in the Capital Region of central New Hampshire, where he served for thirteen years. Michael has a passion for helping students to achieve their dreams. He enjoys all aspects of teaching, learning, and leadership, but aspires to be an inspirational leader of school reform and innovation. Michael holds degrees and certifications from the University of New Hampshire, California University of Pennsylvania, and Plymouth State University.
Ellen Hume-Howard is currently in her thirty-second year in education and her thirteenth as a Curriculum Director for the Sanborn Regional School District. Ellen is also a district and state leader in Competency-Based Learning and the Curriculum Director for the NH PACE Project. Prior to her role as a curriculum director, Ellen was an 8th grade English Teacher and Grade Level Team Leader. Ellen holds degrees and certifications from the University of New Hampshire, Rivier University, and Antioch College.
